1-millimetre mechanically recovered meat has a very fine texture and is mainly used in so-called ‘wet’ pet food products.
Our 3-millimetre mechanically recovered meat is offered as a Type 4 product:
- Permitted for use in meat products that have undergone heat treatment;
- Labelling: needs to be separately labelled ‘mechanically separated pork’ in the ingredients statement;
- Labelling: needs to be labelled separately and may not be included in the product’s total meat content;
- Cell structure is destroyed during production, resulting in an emulsified meat paste;
- Available as 3-millimeter filtered paste.
